S B Engineering is situated at 7/102, Siddheshwar, right on Tilak Road near the Hemu Kalani Market. Being so close to the market means it’s always crowded and there’s a lot of noise outside. We have our little space here where we focus on our engineering tasks. It can be a bit cramped sometimes with all the materials we keep in stock. We deal with local customers who need things repaired or specific parts made for their own machines. My hands are usually dirty from the oil and grease, which is fine by me. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. If someone needs something, they just come by the shop and we have a chat about it. We have been at this spot for years and know most of the other shopkeepers on Tilak Road. The mornings start early with a lot of heavy lifting. Sometimes we have to wait for parts to arrive, which can be frustrating, but that’s just life in this business. We don't have any fancy signs or big advertisements. People find us because we stay in one place and do the work. It’s a steady pace most days. We might take a break for some tea when the market slows down a bit in the afternoon. Then it’s back to the lathes and the welding. We just keep moving forward one day at a time, making sure each job is handled correctly before we close up.
