Working out of Rolta Technology Park in MIDC, Andheri West, means dealing with a lot of movement. This part of Mumbai is always moving, and being in the technology park puts us right in the middle of it. We spend our days mostly handling data and software tasks. The building is quite large, but our specific section feels a bit more contained. It is a lot of sitting at desks, drinking way too much coffee, and trying to make sure the systems are running like they are supposed to. Sometimes the elevators take forever, so we end up taking the stairs just to save time. It’s a professional enough place, but we keep our corner pretty casual. There are always boxes of old cables or manuals lying around that we really should throw away but never do. The air conditioning is usually a bit too cold, so most of us have sweaters at our desks even in the middle of summer. We don't really do big speeches or meetings that last hours; we just talk across the cubicles when something needs to be sorted out. The commute to Andheri is the hardest part for most of the staff, but once we are here, the day goes by fast enough. We focus on the technical details and try to get home before the traffic gets completely stuck. It’s a lot of routine work, but it’s steady and it keeps the lights on for everyone involved.
