Our spot is over at F-14/15 in the Nandjyot Industrial Estate. It’s right on the Andheri-Kurla Road, which is always packed with people and trucks. If you know Mumbai, you know how hectic this area gets. We’ve been here for years, handling all sorts of industrial electrical work. The building itself is older, and we have two units side by side to keep everything organized. Well, as organized as an electrical shop can be. There are coils of wire and circuit breakers all over the place. The lights flicker a bit sometimes, which is funny considering what we do. It’s not a corporate headquarters with glass walls. It’s a place where work gets done, often with a lot of dust and noise. The team is small, mostly guys who have been doing this since they were young. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Most people who come to us have been doing business with us for a decade or more. We just try to keep up with the demand and make sure nothing breaks down on our watch. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a mess, but we keep the doors open and just keep moving. It’s a busy life here in Andheri, but we wouldn’t really know what else to do with our time. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on for everyone.
