Roechling Engineering Plastics (India)

Our office is located at 201, A Wing, Leo 24Th Road in Khar (W). We are on the second floor of the building. It’s a busy area of Mumbai, so there’s always noise and something happening outside on the street. Inside the office, we focus on the engineering plastics side of things. We don’t actually manufacture the materials here; this is where we handle the sales, the technical queries, and the distribution across the country. We have a lot of samples of different plastic sheets, rods, and tubes lying around the desks. They come in all sorts of colors, sizes, and densities for different industrial uses. Most of our day is spent on the phone or on the computer, talking to engineers from various factories. They need to know if a specific material can withstand high heat or certain chemicals in their machines. We have to look up the technical data sheets and give them the right information. It’s a lot of technical detail to keep track of every day. The office gets quite busy around the end of the month when we’re trying to close all the pending orders and ship things out. We have a small pantry where we make tea and coffee. The traffic in Khar (W) can be really bad in the evenings, so we try to get our work done and head out. It’s a steady, routine job.
