Reeland Exports Private Limited is down at Charni Road. We’re in Office No. 111 on the ground floor of the Swadeshi Mill building at 80/84 J S S Road. It’s right near the cinema, so there’s always people walking around and plenty of snacks nearby. This building has been here forever. It has high ceilings and that old Mumbai smell of paper and stone. Our office isn’t huge, but it fits our desks and all the paperwork we have to keep for the export business. We like being in the 400004 area because it’s so central. You can get to the docks or the other markets pretty quickly from here. We aren't big on decorations. We have a calendar on the wall and a clock that’s five minutes fast. That’s about it. Most of our time is spent talking to vendors and making sure the containers are booked. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going full blast. We don't have a big fancy website or a marketing team. We just rely on the work we do. People in the building know us, and we know the chai wallah by name. It’s a traditional way of doing business, and it works for us. We just keep our heads down and get the job done without any fuss or fancy talk.
