R. Karlos Exports

We are based out of Plot No. 56 in the Deonar Ancillary Industrial Estate. It’s a bit of a trek to get here depending on where you’re coming from, but it’s a solid place to run a business. R. Karlos Exports has been here for a good while. The space is mostly filled with boxes and packing material because we are constantly preparing shipments. It’s a practical setup. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to open the door for you; you just walk in and find one of us. Usually, there’s a lot of dust because of the industrial activities around us, but we try to keep our area clean enough. Working here means you get used to the sounds of heavy vehicles passing by all day. We do a lot of counting and double-checking lists to make sure nothing gets missed. It’s mostly manual work, keeping track of what comes in and what goes out. My partner and I usually split the tasks, with one of us staying in the office and the other heading out to the docks or the warehouse. It’s not a glamorous job by any means. We wear comfortable clothes because the work can be a bit messy sometimes. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get home before the evening traffic gets too bad. It is a long day most of the time but we like the routine.
