It is close to the docks, so there are always heavy trucks and lorries rumbling past our door. The dust and the noise are just part of the everyday life here. Our space is spread across three units, which sounds like a lot, but they are filled up pretty quickly with all the stuff we handle. The building is older and has that solid, worn-in feel that you only get with places that have seen decades of work. We aren't in one of those new shiny towers with air conditioning in every corner. Instead, we have big windows that we open when it isn’t too dusty outside. Carnac Bunder is a grit-and-grind kind of place, and we fit right in. We spend our time checking manifests and talking to the drivers. It’s a lot of physical paperwork and staying on top of the schedules. There is a lot of history on P. Dmello Road and you can feel it when you walk around the neighborhood. We just do our bit in the middle of it all, making sure our exports get to where they are supposed to go without too much fuss. It is honest work in a busy, tired part of the city where things are always moving.
