Pragati Plastics

We are located near Kanchpada in Malad West, which is a busy area for small businesses like Pragati Plastics. Most of our days are spent around the machines and the raw plastic stock we keep. It’s not a quiet place because there’s always something running or someone moving crates around. We started out small and stayed that way, which makes it easier to keep track of what’s happening on the floor. The floor gets a bit messy with scraps, so we sweep up every evening before locking up. My brother handles most of the paperwork while I look after the actual production side of things. We get a lot of local walk-ins asking for specific plastic items, and we try to help them out if we have the right molds ready. The heat near the machines can get pretty intense during April and May, so we take plenty of breaks. Sometimes the electricity goes out and everything stops, which is just part of working in this part of town. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. People just know where we are. We've got a small corner with a water cooler where we sit and talk during lunch. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us and has for years. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in.
