Poineer Engineering Company

Our shop, Poineer Engineering Company, is located at number 1 in Goregaon East. It’s a pretty straightforward place where we handle a lot of technical work every day. The space isn't very big, but we have all the machines we need to get things done. Most mornings start with us opening the shutters and getting the power running for the lathes. Goregaon East is always noisy, so we are used to the sound of traffic mixing with the hum of our equipment. We usually have grease on our hands by ten in the morning. There isn't a lot of decoration on the walls, just some old calendars and a few shelves for parts. We spend a lot of time looking at drawings and measuring things out. It’s just a regular engineering spot where we do our jobs without much fuss. Sometimes the rain gets loud on the roof during the monsoon, and we have to move some of the metal around to keep it dry. It’s hard work, but we’ve been doing it this way for years now. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. People just walk in, show us what needs fixing or making, and we figure it out together. The neighborhood has changed a lot, but we’re still here at the same spot, just doing what we know how to do best, which is working with our hands. We focus on the metal and the measurements.
