Pioneer Electrical Machine Manufacturing Co.

The stairs up to the second floor of building number eight are a bit narrow, and we are right near the A.T.I. landmark which helps people find us in the Jogani Industrial Estate. V.N. Purav Marg is always packed with cars and trucks, so we hear the honking all day long while we work. We started out years ago with just a couple of lathes and a lot of hope. Now the floor is full of equipment for making electrical machines. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we bring in new metal materials for a big order. We have an old kettle in the corner for tea breaks, which is usually the most important part of the afternoon for the staff. We do not have a receptionist here, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest to the desk just picks it up and answers. It might be a bit loud in the background when you call because of the grinders running in the workshop. We keep our records in big paper ledgers and some on an old computer we have had for over a decade. It is a simple life here at Pioneer, but we like it that way. Most of us have been working in this same spot for years and we know exactly where every tool is kept. We just keep our heads down and focus on finishing the machines that our customers are waiting for.
