Paintex Chemicals (Bombay) Ltd. is located on the 1st Floor, 9 Andheri East, right opposite the Nelco office. Being on the first floor is a bit of a challenge when heavy shipments arrive, as we have to haul everything up the stairs since there is no proper freight lift. It keeps us in shape, I suppose. The office has been the same for decades, with the same heavy metal cupboards and a large wooden desk that has a bit of a wobble in one leg. We have a lot of old catalogs and papers that we probably should have thrown out years ago, but we keep them just in case. Opposite Nelco is a good landmark, so at least people don't get lost trying to find us. Andheri East is always full of dust and noise from the construction and the traffic, so we keep the windows shut most of the time. The air conditioning is old and makes a loud humming noise, but it keeps the heat away. We don't do much in the way of fancy meetings. Usually, we just sit around the main desk with a cup of tea and figure out the day's schedule. It is a very simple way of doing things, and we like it that way. We know our products well and we know the people we deal with, which is enough for us.
