Oxford Coaching Institute

Our place is over in Malad East, right along Ullal Main Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how that main road gets during rush hour with all the rickshaws and buses zooming past. The coaching institute is tucked into a space that we’ve tried to keep organized, though with students coming and going all day, things get a bit messy sometimes. We have whiteboards in every room and rows of benches that have seen a lot of use over the years. The fans hum pretty loudly when it gets hot, which is most of the time. We don't have a big fancy entrance or a polished lobby. It’s mostly just us, some notebooks, and a lot of pens. People from the neighborhood come here because it’s convenient and they know where to find us. During the monsoons, the rain hits the roof pretty hard, but we just keep going with the lessons. We usually have some snacks tucked away in the back room for when the days get long. It’s a very local feel here on Ullal Main Road. We don't spend money on big signs or bright lights. Most of the time, the front door is just propped open to let some air in while we work through the syllabus. It is a plain, hardworking environment where the focus is just on the books and getting through the next set of exams without too much fuss.
