Our place is called Oriole House and it’s right on Baghad Road, very close to Mahindra Park. Being near the Abhinandan Textile Market means there is always a lot of movement and noise around us. We have been in this building for quite a while now. It’s a sturdy spot and we’ve got several rooms filled with electronic stock and benches for testing things out. Most mornings start with a quick check of what arrived the previous evening and then we get into the repairs or the sales orders. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the boxes, but we know where everything is. The market nearby brings in a lot of different people, so you never know who might walk in through the door. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations. We mostly just keep the tools clean and the shelves organized as much as possible. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes things slow down, but we push through. Having the park nearby is nice for a bit of fresh air when we get a chance to step out. It’s a practical setup for an electronics business. We have our regulars who come by for parts and we’ve gotten to know the other shop owners around Baghad Road pretty well over the years. It is a lot of hard work but it feels good at the end of the day. We just try to keep things simple and focus on the electronics we have in front of us.
