Oasis Enterprises

Nagdevi Street is always a mess of people and carts, and right there at number 31 on the ground floor is Oasis Enterprises. It’s a small shop, but it’s packed. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, filled with all sorts of hardware items. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how it is. It’s crowded, loud, and everyone is in a hurry. We spend most of our time squeezing past boxes to find what a customer asked for. There isn't much space for a desk, so we usually just stand or sit on a small stool. We don't have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. People just know us because we’ve been here at this address for a long time. It’s a lot of shouting across the street and dealing with deliveries that get stuck in traffic. The floor is old stone, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't really matter. What matters is having the right stock when someone walks in. We drink a lot of tea from the stall nearby. It’s a busy life, and the heat in the summer can be tough, but we like the energy of the market. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We’re just running a shop on a busy street, trying to keep track of everything in the drawers and boxes.
