New Technique Classes

New Technique Classes is situated in Andheri East, right in Shere Punjab Colony. We’re in Shop No 2 of Building No 368, which is the Kamlesh Apartment. Mumbai is always moving fast, and this area is no different. Our shop is small, but it’s where all the teaching happens. We have a lot of students coming from different parts of Andheri. The room can get pretty warm during the middle of the day, so we rely heavily on the fans. We don’t have any fancy techniques despite the name; it’s just the name we’ve had for a long time. It’s mostly about sitting down and doing the hard work. We use a lot of paper and ink every day. You’ll usually see piles of notes stacked on the corner table. We don't have a professional cleaning crew, so we usually tidy up the place ourselves before the first class starts. It feels more like a home that way. The people in Kamlesh Apartment are used to seeing students hanging around the entrance. We try to keep the noise down, but sometimes discussions get a bit loud. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the furniture of the neighborhood. It’s just a regular local business where we try to help kids pass their subjects. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep at it every single day, making sure the whiteboard is clean and the markers are filled for the next batch.
