Princess Street is always a bit of a mess with the traffic and the noise from Malad West. We’ve been at 147 for a good while now. It’s just a small place, nothing fancy, just a counter and some shelves. People come in mostly for quick things, maybe their phone isn't working right or they need a cable. Most days it’s just us sitting here, waiting for the morning rush to settle. The fan makes a bit of noise but you get used to it. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello or ask about the weather. We try to keep things where we can find them, but with so many small parts and boxes, it gets cluttered fast. My cousin helps out when it's busy, though he's usually late. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just keeping the shop open and doing what needs doing. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone around here knows where we are. It’s a lot of work staying organized when you’ve got customers coming in every few minutes. You lose track of time between opening up and closing the shutters at night. Sometimes we run out of tea by noon because everyone who stops by wants a cup. It's just a regular life here on the street, and we are quite content with the way things are moving along.
