Mohdaf Engineering

We are based at Andheri East, right on the Kurla Andheri Road. Mohdaf Engineering is situated just opposite the Asha Krishna Building in Sakinaka. If you’ve ever been to Sakinaka, you know the traffic is something else. It is constant noise and dust from the road. Our workshop and office space is right there in the middle of it. We do engineering work, so it is never quiet inside either. There is usually the sound of machines or someone hammering something. It’s a gritty place, not meant for people in suits. We have grease on our hands most of the time. The building itself is older, and the paint is peeling in some spots, but it doesn't bother us. We are more focused on the metal and the drawings. People drop in to talk about projects, and we usually just sit around a big table covered in tools and papers. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We tell it like it is. If a job is going to take a week, we say it’ll take a week. Sometimes the monsoons flood the road outside, and we have to put out sandbags, but we stay open. It’s a tough neighborhood but very lively. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but we’re still here doing the same kind of work.
