M.K. Engineering Co.

We are located at Gala No A-2 in Begam Estate. It’s right opposite the Ganesh Temple in Lokmanya Tilak Nagar. You can find us off the Andheri Ghatkopar Link Road in Sakinaka. It’s a very busy part of the city. The noise from the traffic and the temple bells is constant. M.K. Engineering Co. is a workshop where things actually get built. There’s always the smell of metal and welding in the air. We have a few machines that have been with us for years. They aren't the newest, but they work just fine for what we need. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, so we have to sweep it up constantly. Our staff has been together for a long time. We know each other's habits and how the shop runs. We do a lot of custom work for local factories. It’s not a place for someone who doesn't like to get their hands dirty. We don't have a fancy office upstairs; we mostly sit on stools near the machines when we need a break. Sometimes customers come in with a broken part and we see if we can fix it or make a new one. It’s practical, everyday engineering. We don't have a marketing team or a polished image. We just open the shutters in the morning and get to work until it’s time to close up and head home through the Sakinaka traffic.
