Laxmi Luggage

We’ve been running Laxmi Luggage out of Mira Road East for a good while now. Our shop is tucked into Building Number 70, specifically Shop Number 2 in Sector Number 1. Most people in Shanti Nagar know the area well because it’s right near the India Bank. If you are walking around near Bombay House or the Fort area, you’ll probably stumble across us. It is not a very big shop, just a local spot where we keep a lot of suitcases and travel bags. It gets a bit crowded inside because we try to keep enough stock for everyone who comes in. Luggage is a funny thing because nobody really thinks about it until they are planning a trip and realize their old bag is falling apart. That is usually when they walk through our door. We aren't fancy and we don't have those bright lights you see in malls. It’s just a regular shop with a lot of zippers and wheels. My family has been doing this for years, and we just keep it going because it’s what we know. Sometimes the fans don't work right and it gets a bit warm in here, but we don't mind much. We talk to our neighbors, help people pick a bag that fits their budget, and just take things as they come. There’s no big secret to how we work. We just open up in the morning and stay until we’re done. It’s simple.
