Mellow Dew Chocolates Cakes

Mellow Dew Chocolates Cakes is located in Shop No E/3 of the Jalnidhi Society in Goregaon West. Being inside a housing society means we are right in the middle of where people live. The smell of baking usually drifts up to the apartments above us, which I hope the neighbors don't mind too much. The shop is quite small, so when we are baking cakes and tempering chocolate at the same time, it gets very warm. We have a lot of cooling racks taking up space, and sometimes it's hard to move around without bumping into something. We started this because we liked making sweets, and now it’s a full-time job. I spend a lot of my time washing dishes and wiping down the counters. It’s not all pretty cakes; there is a lot of heavy lifting with flour bags and crates of eggs. The front door of E/3 sticks sometimes when it’s humid, so you have to give it a good pull to get inside. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just us in the kitchen at Jalnidhi Society, trying to get the orders done on time. Sometimes the frosting doesn't set right because of the weather, and we have to redo it entirely. The delivery guy usually arrives right when we are in the middle of something else, which adds to the chaos. It’s just how we run things here every day of the week.
