It is quite easy to find because we are very close to Ambedkar Garden. That garden is where everyone goes for walks, so if you tell a rickshaw driver to go there, they know exactly where to drop you. The building, Eric House, has been around for some time. Our space on the second floor isn't massive, but it has enough room for the desks and the students. Chembur is a nice place to be, and 16th Road has its own character. You can see the trees from the garden out of the window if you stand in the right spot. The climb up the stairs is part of the daily routine for everyone. We spend most of our hours there, from the early afternoon until late in the evening when the streetlights come on. It isn't a polished office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s more of a practical space where we focus on the books. We have some old posters on the walls and plenty of chalk dust around. The neighborhood is mostly families, so we see the same faces every day. It feels like a small community inside Eric House. We just focus on the lessons and the work that needs to get done.
