Our office is based in Parel, specifically at Laxmi Cottage on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road. We are up on the fourth floor, room A 154. Parel has changed a lot over the years, but this stretch of the road still has that old Mumbai character that you don't find everywhere. It is a very active area. You can hear the horns and the general bustle from the street all day long. Getting into the building in the morning is part of the routine, seeing the same familiar faces. The space itself is functional. We have our desks set up and plenty of files around. Being an export company, there is always something to track or a document to send out. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders; it is more about having a reliable place to handle our international trade business. The fourth-floor view doesn't show much besides other buildings and the busy road below, but it lets us know we are in the thick of it. Lunch usually involves something quick from a nearby stall or a tiffin brought from home. It is a straightforward environment. We just focus on the work at hand, managing our exports and keeping in touch with people. Parel is a good central spot for us to be located in Mumbai City.
