Iris Electronics

We’ve been at Popatlal Chember for a while now. Masjid Bunder is always busy, so we keep things moving as much as we can. It’s a tight space in here but we manage to fit a lot of different electronic parts and gadgets inside the shop. Most days are just spent sorting through new stock and helping people find that one specific cable or small part they need for a repair. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It's more of a practical setup where you come in, ask for something, and we find it in the back. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it really hard to get here, but once you’re inside, it’s quiet enough to talk. We handle a bit of everything, from small components to bigger items that people use in their homes or offices. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. My cousin helps out on weekends when it gets really crowded. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some shops closed down, but we’re still here in the same spot. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and we get to meet all sorts of people who are trying to fix things. We just try to keep the shelves stocked with what people actually ask for. If we don’t have it today, we usually get it by next week. It’s just how we work. Nothing too complicated.
