Mandar Clinic

Our clinic is inside the Mandar Co-operative Housing Society at number 37 on Tank Road. Being part of a housing society means we’re right in the middle of where people live. You can hear kids playing outside and neighbors chatting while you’re sitting in our waiting room. Tank Road is always busy with scooters and delivery trucks, but once you step into the society grounds, it gets a little bit calmer. We’ve been here for a long time, and we’ve seen the families in the society grow up. The clinic itself is modest. We have our desks, our equipment, and plenty of files tucked away in metal cabinets. We don't go in for fancy decorations or expensive furniture. Everything we have is here because it’s useful for our daily work. We spend our days seeing neighbors who have a cough or need a regular check-up. It’s a very personal way to work because we see these people at the market or the bus stop too. We don't try to sound like a big medical corporation because we simply aren't one. We’re just a local clinic on Tank Road. We handle the paperwork, keep the place clean, and wait for the next person to walk through the door. It’s a steady routine and we’ve gotten quite comfortable with the rhythm of life here in the housing society. We usually close up early on festivals to spend time with our own families.
