Malik Architects is tucked away inside Azam Market. We have Gala No 4 on Khairani Road in Sakinaka. If you’re looking for us, we’re right opposite Rubi Dying. Mumbai is a crowded place and Sakinaka is no exception to that rule. It’s always loud outside with the trucks and the people moving about. Our space isn't huge, but it's where all the actual work happens. We spend our days sketching out ideas and looking at site photos. Khairani Road is one of those places that never really seems to sleep. We’ve been based here in the 400072 area for quite some time now. It's a gritty, hardworking part of the city. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby area. You just walk in and we're usually busy with something or other. We do a lot of measuring and re-measuring because in Mumbai, every single inch of space counts. It can be stressful with the deadlines and the heat, but we honestly like the work. People from around the market know us by now. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just building and designing things that actually work for people. We deal with the daily reality of construction in a city that's always under renovation. It's honest work and we're glad to be a part of this busy neighborhood. The noise doesn't even bother us much anymore. We just get on with the drawings and the planning.
