Maitree Art

You can find Maitree Art over at Room No. 3, Plot No. 86 in Puspa Park. It’s on Daftary Road in Malad East, quite close to the Western Express Highway. You can hear the traffic humming all day long from our window. The space is pretty small, just a single room filled with art supplies, canvases, and bits of wood for frames. It’s a bit of a mess, to be honest. There are paint stains on the floor that have been there for years and we never bothered to scrub them off. We spend our days making different things, sometimes it’s painting and other times it’s just putting together pieces for customers. We aren't a big gallery with fancy lights or expensive rugs. It’s just a workshop where we get our hands dirty. Malad East is a busy neighborhood, so there’s always people walking by. Sometimes neighbors pop their heads in to say hello or see what new project we are working on. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one near the door. The fan in the room squeaks a bit when it’s on high, but it keeps us cool enough. We’ve been here for a while and we like the local feel of Puspa Park. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, one piece at a time, without any rush. We just try to finish what we started before the day ends.
