Mahavir Medicare Clinic

We are over at Plot No 209 in Rambhai Nagar, right in Kandivali West. It’s Shop number 3. If you know the area, it’s not hard to find us. Rambhai Nagar is a busy place with lots of small houses and shops all crowded together. Our clinic isn’t very large, but we have enough space for a couple of benches and the doctor’s table. Most days are spent listening to people talk about their coughs or how their fever isn't going down. We keep a stock of basic medicines and some equipment for checking blood pressure. It’s very much a local neighborhood spot. You’ll see the same people walking past every day. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked because of some local festival or just too many rickshaws. We’ve had the same furniture for years and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for us. We start seeing patients in the morning, take a break in the afternoon, and then stay open until quite late at night. Often, people stop by after finishing their shifts at work. It is a humble place, no doubt about that. We don't use any high-tech systems, just a paper register to write down names and what the problem is. It’s just how things are done here in this part of Kandivali. We're part of the furniture now, seeing generations of the same families coming through.
