Life House 7

We've been at Life House 7 for a bit now. Our spot is up on the third floor of Building 1 over in the Dharavi Labour Camp area. It’s right on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road in Matunga. Getting up to the third floor every day keeps us moving, that's for sure. The area is always busy with people coming and going at all hours. Sometimes it gets a bit loud outside but that's just how things are around here. We just go about our work and deal with whatever comes up on a daily basis. Most of the people around know where we are if they need us. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical place where we get things done. Building No. 1 has been here a long time and seen a lot of change. You have to walk through the main part of the camp to find the entrance. Matunga is a good spot for us because it's central enough for everyone to reach. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy out front. Usually, people just find the floor and knock on the door. The stairs are narrow so we try not to carry too much at once. It's mostly just us inside, keeping track of our daily tasks and files. We stay fairly quiet compared to the street noise below. We've gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood over the months. Life House 7 is just where we happen to be based out of right now. It works for what we need and we don't complain. We just show up and do the work.
