Lankesh Export Private Limited is located over at Flox Chamber, right near the Roxy Cinema in the Opera House area. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded and loud this part of Girgaon can be. Our office is on the first floor. It’s a small space, but it fits us well enough. We handle exports, which means a lot of time on the phone and dealing with different time zones. It isn't always glamorous work. There’s a lot of paper shifting and making sure the crates are where they should be. Being near the Opera House means there's always something going on outside our windows. We've been in this building for some time now. Some of the older staff remember when things were a bit quieter, but that's just the city for you. We don't have a fancy reception area with coffee machines. Usually, we just grab tea from the stall downstairs. The elevators in these old Mumbai buildings can be a bit slow, so we often just take the stairs to the first floor. We’re just regular people trying to run a decent export business. We make mistakes sometimes, but we fix them quickly. It's about getting the goods from one place to another without too much fuss. We don't do big presentations. We just get the job done and go home to our families at the end of the day.
