If you go to Bhandup, near 26th Cross and 7th Main Road, you’ll find our office at number 114. Kunal Consultancy Services is what we call it, but it’s really just a couple of rooms with some computers and a lot of filing cabinets. We do a bit of everything—tax filings, paperwork for small businesses, and helping people with their permits. It’s a lot of reading and typing. The street outside is usually noisy, so we keep the windows shut mostly. We have a small table for clients to sit at while we go through their documents. Often they bring in a whole folder of unorganized receipts, and we have to sort it all out. It’s tedious work, but someone has to do it. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused. Our printer is always running out of ink at the wrong time. We’ve been in Bhandup for a long time now, so we know most of the local shopkeepers. They come to us when the government sends them a letter they don’t understand. We don't have a big staff, just me and my nephew who’s good with the computer stuff. We aren't some high-priced firm in a skyscraper. We just help people get their papers in order. It’s quiet, steady work that keeps us busy from morning till night. Most days we are just buried under stacks of paper. We use a lot of staples and our desks are always a bit of a mess.
