You can find Chanda Yarn Agency at 85/87 Old Hanuman Lane. We are up on the second floor in Room Number 12. If you know Kalbadevi Road, you know it is one of the most crowded and busy places you could imagine. There is always someone shouting, a cart being pushed, or a bike trying to weave through the crowd. Our office is a bit of a climb up the stairs, and the building is quite old, but it has character. We handle yarn, and since we are an agency, we spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by. It is a small room and it gets quite hot in the summer, even with the fan going full blast. We have files stacked everywhere and samples of different yarns on the tables. It is not the most organized-looking place, but we know where everything is. We have been in this spot for years and have seen the market change quite a bit, though the noise stays the same. We are just regular people trying to connect buyers and sellers in the textile trade. We don't use any fancy software; a lot of our notes are still kept in big ledgers. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us and our clients. We value the relationships we have built in this building and across the lane over the decades.
