Jayshree Clinic

Our clinic, Jayshree Clinic, is situated in Clinic No 4 of the A Wing in the Vijay Building. This is right on the Link Road in Malad West, which anyone from Mumbai knows is a very hectic place to be. The noise from the traffic on Link Road is something we have just learned to live with over the years. We are on the ground level, which makes it easier for older folks to reach us without having to worry about stairs or elevators. The space is a bit compact, as is common in this part of Malad, but it serves its purpose for the daily consultations we do. We see all kinds of people coming in, from young kids with scrapes to the elderly who have been coming to this building for years. We keep the desk organized with various charts and medicine samples that the reps leave behind. It is a very hands-on job where we spend the whole day talking and listening to what is bothering people. We don't have a polished receptionist or a fancy waiting lounge with a television. It is just a few benches and the sound of the ceiling fan spinning overhead. We like it this way because it feels real and grounded. It’s just a small part of the busy life in Malad West, and we are happy to be here. We just open the doors and take the day as it comes, one patient at a time.
