Intermedia

Intermedia is situated at 36 Kalyandas Udyog Bhavan, which sits right near Century Bazaar in the Prabhadevi area. Being in this part of Mumbai means there is always something happening outside the windows. The building is one of those typical industrial estates where you find all sorts of offices and small workshops. We are on the ground floor mostly, making it easy for people to drop in. Century Bazaar is the big landmark everyone knows, so we just tell people to head towards that and they usually find us without any trouble. Inside the office, it is just us working on various media projects. It can get a bit loud with the traffic from the main road, but you get used to it after a week or two. The air smells a bit like the sea sometimes since we aren't too far from the coast. We have been in Prabhadevi for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit with new buildings coming up. Still, Kalyandas Udyog Bhavan stays pretty much the same. We keep our space organized enough to get the work done, even if there are stacks of papers or drives sitting around some days. It is a practical setup for the kind of work we handle. Most of the staff takes the local train or buses to get here, and lunch usually means grabbing something from the stalls nearby. We have a small corner for making tea during the afternoon hours when it is hot.
