Inception

Inception is tucked away in room 114 of the Marine Mansion on First Marine Street. We are right in the Marine Lines area of Mumbai. It’s an interesting spot because we are just opposite Fantasy Chocolate. We can see the shop from our entrance. Marine Mansion is one of those classic old Mumbai buildings with high ceilings and a lot of character. Our office inside is 114, and it’s where we spend most of our waking hours. The street outside is always full of people heading towards the station or the sea. It gets quite humid here, especially in the monsoon, but we have our fans going and we just get on with it. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us in a room filled with books and computers. We don't really have a formal dress code; we just wear what is comfortable for the Mumbai heat. People come by to talk about their ideas, and we sit around a small table to figure things out. It’s a bit cramped sometimes, but it makes for a good working environment. We like being so close to the coast. After work, it’s nice to take a short walk and see the ocean. We just focus on the projects we have and try to keep things moving forward in our own quiet way.
