Idea Studio

Idea Studio is located in Mohhmadiya House on St Martin Road in Bandra West. It is a nice part of Mumbai to work in, even if the streets are a bit narrow and hard to park in. We are quite near the Bandra BMC office, so that helps people find us if they are lost. The building has a lot of character and our space is where all the planning happens. We have a few desks and a lot of drawing boards where we sketch out what needs to move. Bandra has a specific energy and we try to just fit in with that. We don't wear suits or act like corporate people because that is just not who we are. Most of the time we are in jeans and carrying heavy bags of samples or tools. St Martin Road is usually busy with people walking around and there are some good spots nearby for a quick snack when we are tired. It is a small team here. We handle the paperwork and the design work from this office and then go out to different parts of the city to see the progress. It is a lot of walking and talking and making sure the measurements are right. It is simple work but it takes up all of our time. We like the fact that every day is a bit different and we get to meet all sorts of people.
