Hobby World

Hobby World is tucked away in Versova Palwadi, right on New 60 Feet cross Road 701. If you walk inside, you’ll see shelves reaching up to the ceiling. They are mostly filled with boxes of all sorts of things. We have models, paints, and tools scattered around. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when a new shipment arrives and we don't have enough space to put everything away immediately. We end up stacking things on the floor. It’s a small shop, so you have to watch your step. I’ve been working here for a few years now, and I still find things I didn't know we had in the back corner. The dust settles fast on the top shelves, so we have to go around with a feather duster every few days. People come in looking for specific parts for their projects. Sometimes we have them, sometimes we don't, but we usually know where to look. It’s quiet during the afternoons. You can hear the clock ticking on the wall. We spend time chatting with people about what they are building at home. It’s not a fast-paced environment. It’s more about just finding that one piece you need for your kit. The door squeaks when you open it. We keep meaning to oil the hinges, but we always forget when it gets busy. It’s just how the shop is.
