Helix Techniks

You can find us at 5 Santacruz West in the Menoti Mahal building. Helix Techniks is a small operation, mostly just a couple of us working with machines and technical parts. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment crammed into one room. We deal with various technical bits and pieces, often fixing things that others have given up on. Santacruz is a crowded area and parking near Menoti Mahal is always a nightmare, so most people just walk over. We don't have a big storefront with lights. It is just a door with our name on it. Inside, it usually sounds like humming electronics or someone using a soldering iron. We spend a lot of hours squinting at small parts or trying to figure out why a circuit isn't doing what it should. It’s quiet work mostly, interrupted by the noise of the street outside. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone tells a friend that we managed to fix their gear, and that is how we get our next job. We don't make big promises about being the fastest, we just take the time to look at the problem properly. Sometimes we stay late when a difficult job comes in, but that’s just how technical work goes. It is a bit messy with wires everywhere, but we know where everything is. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
