We are based out of the Kassam Hussain P Chawls on Kalyan Mantappa Road. This is in Jakkasandra, right in Koramangala 1st Block. The space we have is quite simple. It’s just a couple of rooms where we gathered some benches and whiteboards for the kids. We started this because there were a lot of families around here who needed a place for their children to study in the evenings. It’s not a corporate learning center. It’s more like a local gathering spot for students. We spend our time going through textbooks and helping with homework. There are always piles of notebooks everywhere and the sound of pens scratching on paper. It gets a bit stuffy when the rooms are full, but we keep the fans going. We don't have any big signs or fancy decorations. It’s just a place for learning. The neighbors are friendly and we see the same faces every day walking up and down the road. Sometimes we have to stay late if a student is struggling with a particular subject before an exam. We don't mind. It’s just what we do here in Jakkasandra. We aren't trying to be anything big. We just want to make sure the kids around here have a bit of help with their studies. It’s a quiet, busy life inside these rooms, surrounded by books and the local community.
