Harish Exporter

It's been quite a while since Harish Exporter set up shop here at 2 Puran Nivas. We are right on the ground floor on Arthur Bunder Road. If you walk past the Radio Club, you’ll see us. Colaba is always full of tourists and people walking to the Gateway, but our corner feels a bit more like a workplace. The building is one of those old Mumbai structures with high ceilings. It gets a nice breeze from the sea sometimes, which helps during the humid months. We deal with exporting goods from this small office. There is always a stack of boxes near the door and a lot of papers on the desks. It isn't a very large space, so things can get a bit cluttered when a big shipment is being prepared. We know the local tea seller and the other shopkeepers around here. The ground floor location is handy because we don't have to deal with the old elevators. We just open the shutters and start the day. Sometimes we have to move the furniture around to fit new samples that arrive. It’s a simple life here in South Mumbai. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. People pop in and out, and there is always the sound of taxis honking outside. It's just how the neighborhood is.
