Bhansali Exports

Our place is at 46 Kika Street, specifically in Office Number 19 on the first floor. This area is called Gulalwadi, and it’s a very busy commercial hub. You can hear the sounds of carts and people shouting all day long from the street. Our office is up a flight of stairs that are a bit steep. Once you get inside, it’s a quiet contrast to the chaos outside, though you can still hear the traffic. We have a few desks and a lot of cabinets for all the files we keep. At Bhansali Exports, we deal with a lot of different products, so there are always samples lying around on the tables. It’s not the most modern office, but it works for us. We spend most of our hours looking at spreadsheets and talking to people at the port. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just sit and wait or talk until it comes back on. That’s just part of working in an old building in this part of the city. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that on the walls. We just have a calendar and maybe a few photos of our families. We come in early, do the work, and try to finish before the evening rush hour makes the commute home impossible. It’s honest work and we take it one day at a time.
