Diebold Systems Pvt. Ltd. is located up on the 17th floor of R Tech Park, which is part of IT Building No. 2. It’s right in the Nirlon Compound in the Village Pahadi area. Being that high up means we spend a fair bit of time just waiting for the elevators, especially during the morning rush when everyone is trying to get to their desks. The view from the windows is actually pretty good, looking out over the sprawl of the city, but we usually have the blinds down to keep the glare off the screens. It’s a typical office setup, plenty of desks and the hum of the air conditioning running all day to keep the Mumbai heat away. The Nirlon Compound is a massive place, so it took us a while to stop getting lost when we first moved in. It’s a bit of a walk from the main gate to our building, but you get used to it. The office itself is full of the usual stuff—computers, half-empty coffee mugs, and piles of papers that need filing. It’s a busy environment, and there’s always someone talking on a headset or typing away. We don’t have any fancy lounge areas or anything like that, just a break room where the microwave is always busy. It's a functional space where we get through our daily tasks and try to stay on top of the workload without too much distraction from the busy world down below.
