Godrej Boyce

Down here in Panagal, Srikalahasti, we run the Godrej Boyce operations from our place at D-No 16/449. It’s a quiet part of the Chittoor district compared to the big cities, but we stay pretty busy. People around here know the address well enough. We aren't a massive warehouse, just a practical space where we handle the equipment and paperwork. The dusty roads mean we’re often cleaning the front windows, but that’s just how it is in this part of Andhra Pradesh. Most of our day is spent helping locals figure out what they need for their homes or small businesses. We don't use big words or try to sell anyone on things they don't need. It’s just a matter-of-fact way of doing business. The fans are always running because it gets quite warm in the afternoons. We have a couple of chairs for visitors and a cluttered desk full of ledgers. It feels like a real workplace, not a showroom from a magazine. We’ve been part of this community for a while now. Everyone knows where the Godrej Boyce sign is. If someone has a problem with a lock or a cupboard, they just come by and talk to us. We try to be helpful without making a big fuss about it. It’s a simple life here in Srikalahasti, and we like it that way.
