Jacobs Engineering

Jacobs Engineering is located right in Gift House on the ground floor. It’s Room Number 4, which isn’t very big, but it’s enough for what we do. We are directly across from the Prabhadevi Mandir, so the area is always full of people and the sound of bells. New Prabhadevi Road is quite a busy stretch in Mumbai. Our office is a simple, no-frills kind of place. You won’t find any marble floors or fancy receptionists here. We just have our workstations and a lot of technical papers piled up. The ground floor location is convenient, though it gets a bit noisy when the traffic picks up. We often leave the door open to get some air because the fans can only do so much. Sometimes people walk in looking for the temple or asking for directions, and we just help them out and get back to our engineering work. It’s a tight space, especially when we have a few extra people in for a meeting. We usually just grab tea from the vendor on the corner and drink it while we look over blueprints. The building is older, and you can see that in the walls and the ceiling, but it’s home for us. We don’t need a polished office to do our jobs properly. It’s a very local, honest spot where we just focus on the practical side of things every single day.
