We have been operating out of Building No 283 on Nagdevi Street for a long time now. If you know Masjid Bunder, you know how busy it gets around here with all the handcarts and people rushing past. Our office isn't anything fancy, just a few desks and stacks of papers that we try to keep organized. Most days start pretty early because that is when the trucks can actually get through the narrow lanes before the real traffic starts up. We spend a lot of our time checking over shipping lists and making sure everything is ready to go. It is a lot of back and forth with the loaders. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. We handle all sorts of goods going out to different places. It’s mostly just making sure the numbers match and the boxes are taped up right. The neighborhood has changed over the years but our building stays about the same. It gets dusty and loud with the construction nearby. We usually grab lunch from the small stall downstairs or just bring something from home. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes even Sundays if there is a big order to clear. We don't really do much advertising, people just know we are here in this spot. We focus on getting the tasks done and making sure nothing gets left behind on the floor when we lock up. That is all there is to it, really.
