General Instruments Consortium

General Instruments Consortium is located at 194/195 Gopi Tank Road in Mahim. We are right behind the old City Light Cinema, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. Mahim is a crowded, lively part of the city, and our building fits right into that landscape. We make instruments and gauges, so our workspace is full of small parts, calibration tools, and workbenches. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step because there might be a crate of metal components on the floor. We aren’t interested in looking like a modern tech startup. Our desks are old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the equipment we use is what matters. We’ve been on Gopi Tank Road for a long time, watching the neighborhood change while we stay focused on our measurements. The staff here knows each other well, and we usually just get on with the job without much fuss. If the instruments aren't accurate, then we haven't done our job, so we spend a lot of time double-checking things. It gets loud outside with the traffic and the local markets, but inside we just keep our heads down and work on the assembly. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living, providing the tools that other industries need to measure their own work. We’ve got some old fans that rattle a bit, but they keep the air moving.
