Gemini Power Hydraulics is tucked away in 203, Krishna Bhavan on Govandi Station Road. Being near the station means there is a constant stream of people walking past the building. Deonar is a busy place and the noise from the trains and the street can get quite loud in the afternoons. Our office in Krishna Bhavan isn't very large, but we make it work for the hydraulics side of things. There are usually parts lying around on the benches and technical manuals stacked up on the shelves. It feels like a real workspace, not a showroom. We deal with a lot of heavy-duty stuff, so things can get a bit messy. The elevator in the building sometimes has a mind of its own, so we often just take the stairs. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking at diagrams. It is a practical life. We don't use a lot of big words or have fancy meetings. We just talk about what needs to be fixed or shipped out. Govandi has its own energy, and we have been part of it for a while now. The tea from the vendor downstairs is what keeps us going through the long afternoons. We have a small team and everyone knows their job. It is not about being the biggest, it is just about getting the hydraulics work done so the customers can finish their own projects.
