Kumar Enterprises Mumbai is located on the 4th floor of Fine Mansion, which is at 206 Dr. D. N. Road in the Fort area. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy Fort can get. The building itself is an old one, like many in this part of town, so the elevator is a bit slow sometimes. Most of us just end up taking the stairs if we are in a hurry. Being on the 4th floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, which is always crowded with people and cars. Our office is simple. We have some old wooden desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. We handle various business matters from here, and the phone rings quite a bit. It’s a very traditional setup. We don't have any of those modern open-plan layouts you see in the new parts of the city. There’s a lot of paper around and we like it that way because it helps us keep track of everything. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a small break. Working in Fort has a certain feel to it that you don't get anywhere else. We have been in Fine Mansion for a long time and we’ve seen the neighborhood change, but our routine stays mostly the same.
