Ashapura Minechem Ltd.

Our office is over in the Jeevan Udyog Building. We are on the third floor at number 278. It’s right in the Fort area. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded it gets during office hours. We do work with minerals and chemicals, which is what the name Ashapura Minechem suggests. It’s a lot of technical stuff, looking at samples and dealing with mining logistics. We’ve been at this for a long while now. The building is pretty central, so it’s easy for people to find us, even if parking is a nightmare. Inside, it’s mostly desks and files everywhere. We deal with various industrial materials that go into making other things. It’s a lot of coordination between the sites and the office. We spend most of our time on the phone or tracking shipments. It’s not a flashy job, but it’s important work for the industries we serve. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is the highlight for most of us. We have a mix of younger staff and people who have been here since the start. It feels like a second home after a while. We just keep our heads down and get the orders processed. There’s always something to do, whether it’s checking a report or talking to a vendor. That’s how a typical day looks for us. We just keep at it and hope the traffic isn't too bad when it's time to head home.
