We are based in Lotus House on VT Marg, which is a pretty well-known spot near the old Liberty Cinema. Being in the Churchgate area means there is always a lot of history around us, even if our office is just a regular ground floor space. At Federation Of Pharmaceutical And Allied Products Merchant Exporters, the daily routine is mostly about coordinating with different people in the trade. It is not a flashy setup at all, just Office Number 6 where we keep all the records and handle the paperwork for the merchant side of the business. The building has that old Mumbai feel to it and the ground floor location makes it easy for people to just pop in without dealing with the elevators. We spend a lot of time on the computer or talking to vendors. It gets quite busy during the middle of the day when everyone is trying to get their shipments sorted out before the cutoff times. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans on the walls, just calendars and maybe a few posters about the products we handle. It is a practical environment where the focus is on getting the job done without too much fuss. Sometimes it's noisy because of the street traffic but we like being in such a central part of the city. It makes the logistics side of things a bit easier to manage when you are right in the heart of it all.
