Gilbert Hill is right there and it is a huge landmark for everyone. People find us easily by looking for the Moholla near Juhu Lane. It is usually quite busy around here. We open the doors in the morning and usually have to wipe down the chairs because of the city dust. The traffic in Andheri West never really stops making noise. We have seen this whole neighborhood change over the years. Many families come in with their children for various things. Sometimes it is just a simple fever or a cough that won't go away. We sit here in Kahndesh Moholla and see the same faces every single week. It is not a fancy place at all. There is a ceiling fan that makes a clicking sound when it is on high. We still use old paper registers sometimes because the computer system gets slow or acts up. That is just how things are for us. When the monsoon rain comes, the lane outside gets a bit muddy and wet, but people still walk over in their sandals. We know all the shopkeepers on this block. We often share some tea in the afternoons. It is a small clinic, to be honest. We just try to get through the day and help the people who live right here. Sometimes we run behind schedule because a patient starts talking about their family. We don't mind much. In this part of Mumbai, everything is cramped but we make it work.
